The moral of the story is that whenever a person feels that they cannot do something, they simply have to believe in themselves and then say, “I can.”
Being positive is a valuable part of everyone’s battle to accomplish things in life that may appear nearly impossible to do. By the end of this story, your child will be saying, “I can! I can!”
Whether you are looking for a bedtime story or a folk story that will bring out the best in your child, this is the eBook for you! It is funny and delightfully loaded with hidden real life situations the will stir the interest of everyone!
The little lamb is named Happy because he smiles a lot. Happy is quite content to stay with his mother and to simply play away the day. It is a life that he loves and expects to continue forever!
The story portrays the life changing events that occur when such a happy little lamb is called to begin the rigorous training to become a Ram. Happy does not like the idea of leaving his wonderful mother to attend the meetings at the sacred Order of the Rams. However his father insists upon his doing so, and it is a decision that his father may live to regret.
Happy’s father does his best to train Happy in the leadership role that he will fill in life, but he does not abide by Happy’s use of the word CAN’T. This forces Happy to bite his tongue. Of course, he tries to run away from home and all of his problems, but that does not work. Eventually, he returns to face the testing and trials that require him to endure the pain of learning to become a Ram.
In addition and as usual, good always wins out over bad, when the mean old wolves that attack his father are victims of their own greed.
At the conclusion of the story, Happy must take the time to consider what methods he will use to train the new lambs to become rams. One lesson he has learned is always to think about safety—the safety of others as well as his own safety—while doing what must be done.
